The Vermont State Police and Brattleboro Police officers saw Davis wandering through West Brattleboro on Tuesday night. Police shot the man while attempting to speak with him at around 7:45 p.m., according to Vermont police. He has since been declared dead.

The corpse of Anderson was discovered inside her truck, which was discovered early on Tuesday on Elliot Street in Brattleboro.

The truck was what Massachusetts State Police had been looking for in relation to Anderson’s disappearance, and it matched the description. Her identity and the reason for her death will be determined by an autopsy on Wednesday.
