Paul Haggis is currently facing sexual assault charges after being arrested in Italy.
As reported by Corriere, the Academy Award-winning director allegedly forced a foreign woman to have sexual intercourse with him for two days in Ostuni, Brindisi.
The woman, whose name is not revealed yet, was in town for “The Fest” event. The airport officials say that the woman was dropped by Haggis in a brutal physical and physiological condition and went away.
The airport staff helped her, and the border police gave first aid. She was later taken to Perrino hospital in Brindisi. The alleged victim has already formalized the complaint.
