Harini competed in a spell-off with Vikram Raju in which the candidates were judged on how many words they could accurately spell in 90 seconds.
Harini accurately spelled 21 of 26 words, whereas Vikram correctly spelled 15 of 19 words.
Her name will also be engraved on the Scripps Cup, the Scripps National Spelling Bee’s official championship trophy.
Harini was consistently faster and sharper throughout the competition, and the judges’ final tally confirmed her victory.
Logan has competed in the Scripps National Spelling Bee before, but never made it past the top 30. She finished in a tie for 323rd place in 2018, 30th place in 2019, and 31st place in 2021.
