Is Warren Jeffs Christian? Find Out About His Religion & Family

Warren Jeffs follow the Christian religion, and it is already known that he is a leader of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. After his father’s death, he served as the church leader’s counselor.

Jeffs became Rulon’s successor. He was given the title of “President and Prophet, Seer and Revelator,” and “President of the Priesthood” by the FLDS Church.

The latter concerned being head of the organization of all adult male church members who were capable of holding the priesthood, which is still practiced in the Latter Day Saint movement.

Warren Jeffs was born on December 3, 1955, to his parents ( Rulon Jeffs and Merilyn Steed) in Sacramento, California.

His father became president of the church in 1986; he may have had as many as 75 wives and 65 children when he died at the age of 92; other reports claim that he may have been survived by 19 or 20 wives and “approximately 60 children,” including 33 sons.

After Father’s death, he married all but two of his father’s wives: one refused to marry him and was thus barred from ever marrying again, and the other left the FLDS compound, and it has been found that he has 87 wives.

Naomi Jessop, one of his father’s first ex-wives, later became his favorite wife and confidante.

Brent Jeffs, a nephew of Warren Jeffs, filed a complaint in July 2004 alleging that Jeffs had anally raped him in the Salt Lake Valley complex of the FLDS Church in the late 1980s. At that time, she is just 5 to 6 years old.

Brent’s brother Clayne committed suicide after being accused of sexually molesting him as a child.

Two of his nephews, as well as two of his children, have come forward to say that he sexually abused them.

The convict was added to the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted List in 2006 after fleeing from claims that he had arranged illicit marriages between his adult male followers and minor females in Utah.

He was found guilty of two charges of rape as an accomplice in September 2007 and was sentenced to ten years to life in Utah State Prison. The Utah Supreme Court overturned this conviction in 2010 due to faulty jury instructions. [11]

The rapist was extradited to Texas and found guilty of sexual assault of a child (for sex with a 15-year-old he had married) and aggravated sexual assault against a child (for sex with a 12-year-old he had married), for which he was sentenced to life in prison plus twenty years and fined $10,000.
