Sotomayor’s father passed away when she was nine, and she was subsequently raised by her mother. She graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University in 1976 and received her Juris Doctor from Yale Law School in 1979.
The U.S justice grew up with an alcoholic father and a mother who was emotionally distant. That’s why, she became close to her grandmother who gave her proper love, care, and protection.
Sonia married Kevin Noonan in 1976, but their relationship ended in divorce in 1983. The U.S Supreme Court justice has no children and lives a single life.
