Where Is Tim Herrington Now? Jimmie Jay Lee Missing Case And Updates

The friends of Jimmie Jay Lee want justice, and Herrington is still held in the Lafayette County Jail.

In support of Lee, a group of LGBTQ individuals sang loudly when Sheldon Timothy Herrington entered Lafayette County Circuit Court on Wednesday for his bond hearing.

Once inside the courtroom, Herrington’s uncle, lawyer Carlos Moore, was not present. He has been on camera repeatedly since Herrington’s arrest on July 22 to vehemently defend his nephew, insisting on his innocence and saying that he would act as his attorney.

Following a request from counsel Horan, Circuit Judge Grady Tollison postponed the bond hearing, likely to provide the additional defense time to speak with his client.

WREG questioned him about his attendance at the scheduled bond hearing on August 9 and whether he still firmly believes Timothy Herrington is innocent. He didn’t answer any of the queries.

Authorities are still seeking Lee’s body, according to Oxford Police.

Jimmie “Jay” Lee’s car, according to Oxford police, was removed from the Molly Barr Trails apartment building on Friday and was discovered there on Monday.

In a silver robe or housecoat, a gold hat, and gray slippers, Lee was last seen leaving Campus Walk Apartments at 5:58 a.m. on July 8, according to Oxford police. At the time of her disappearance, police think Lee might have been visiting someone at Molly Barr Trails.

Carlos Moore, an attorney, announced on Twitter that he would represent Herrington. Moore stated that Herrington is “presumed innocent” and that he will “vigorously” defend him.

Although he is currently divorced from Herrington’s aunt, Moore told ABC 24 that he is defending his nephew by marriage because he feels Herrington is innocent and wants him to be declared free.

Strangely enough, Lee first shared a nightmare with his followers on TikTok in January 2022. In his dream, a man tried to “kill” Lee, according to the TikTok video posted on January 25.

Lee, who uses the nick TheJayLee on TikTok, claimed he was daydreaming about being in an uncomfortable scenario when a man attempted to attack him.

He decided to try to kill me, and the college student continued. So I wake up and go about my day after fighting for my life.

The video has received close to 400,000 views and hundreds of comments, some of which refer to the dream as a “warning.” “Dreams must be taken seriously, especially when they include people we never dream about.,” one person remarked. That served as a warning.

Judge Carlos Moore, Herrington’s lawyer, asserted that his client is innocent. Moore stated, “I am his attorney, and we think he will be cleared.”

“I’ve been given the job of defending Tim Herrington with Kevin Horan,” Moore wrote in a Facebook post on Friday. He is presumed innocent even though he has been charged with a major offense. We will vigorously defend him and look forward to restoring his reputation.

The defense attorney for Herrington is baffled.

It’s pretty strange, remarked Moore. “In my 20 years of legal practice, I have never heard of somebody being accused of murder without concrete evidence of a victim’s demise. One component of the crime is that. Before you can charge someone with murder, someone must be dead.

However, Moore maintains his position that Oxford Police lacked adequate evidence to arrest Herrington, and he expressed excitement about their upcoming court appearance.

“We won’t let the court of public opinion decide this. If he is indicted, we will get our day in court. He has been charged thus far; a grand jury has not yet indicted him. He has been detained, and we think the detention was unwarranted.
