Drew Drechsel Arrested Over Sexual Assault – What Is His Jail Sentence?

On August 4, 2020, the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey arrested Drew Drechsel and charged him with sexual assault of a minor and inducing her to send him sexually explicit images.

For the first victim who came forward, Drew is currently facing a sentence of 20 years in prison if convicted. Two more victims both under the age of 18 have come forward, and a fourth victim filed a police report over a year ago alleging forcible assault.

The federal charges stem from an alleged series of encounters with a 15-year-old New Jersey girl that started years ago.

Drechsel is said to have met the alleged victim at an American Ninja Warrior event and invited her to visit him at the Real Life Ninja Academy in Connecticut in July 2015.

The girl claimed they had oral sex before having extramarital affairs on a mattress behind the warped wall. They met for sex again in person and had sexual encounters on Skype over the next two years, according to the girl.

She reported the alleged acts to Cherry Hills, New Jersey, police in June 2019.

The court proceedings were postponed for another couple of months after he appeared in court on February 15th.

Drew was repeatedly denied bail due to a variety of factors. He is a flight risk due to his financial resources. The chosen custodians (his girlfriend, mother, and girlfriend’s mother) are untrustworthy in their monitoring of him because of his ability to conceal criminal activity from his family and friends over a long period of time.

His ability to hide criminal activity on the internet is impressive (he used an encrypted app for some messages and child content).
