The name of the author, Xochitl Dixon’s husband, is Dr. W. Alan Dixon Sr. This Wisconsin native and her spouse, Alan, relocated there in 2018 after following God’s guidance.

Xochitl struggles daily with chronic pain and exhaustion due to a back injury she sustained in 1992, loves going on outings with her service dog Callie and encourages the Tails for Life team to train service dogs for kids with special needs.

In the Children’s Christian Social Issues category on Amazon, the book has held the top rank among newly released titles on several occasions.

The ReachOut Bookstore and Solid Grounds Cafe, 221 N. Peters Ave., Fond du Lac, hosted the book’s launch celebration on July 25. More than 40 people attended the launch celebration to hear Dixon read from the book, take pictures with Callie, and pre-order over 75 volumes.
