The 35-year-old had already from his national team but continues to play in the T20 leagues worldwide. The South African-born New Zealand cricketer Colin is currently dazzling with his bat in the Australian Big Bash League.

Colin Munro Met Wife Tehere Munro At Pakuranga College
Colin Munro and his wife Tehere Munro were two immigrants from South Africa when they met at Pakuranga College.
Coming from similar backgrounds, the two found companionship at high school. Tehere had emigrated from South Africa a year earlier and met the cricketer at Pakuranga College.
One day Tehere was called to the principal office as another fellow South African had emigrated, and they wanted Tehere to show him around the college. The two started hanging around after school and would watch each other play sports.
Tehere would come to Munro’s hockey matches but wouldn’t come to watch his cricket matches as she considered them to be too long. Colin had asked her out a few times, but Tehere wouldn’t budge.
Finally, it took her mom’s convincing to go out with the New Zealander cricketer. The pair have now formed a partnership which has spanned 18 years, married for ten with two kids.
On August 10, 2022, the cricketer shared a sweet tribute for his better half on his Instagram handle with the caption: “Celebrating ten years married to this special human. I absolutely love doing life with you,” along with a series of pictures.
Being a partner to an athlete takes a toll on any woman and especially if you are tasked to raise your kids. For most of the year, your husband won’t be around with the children bugging you when they will see their dad again. But Tehere has managed to navigate through all those hurdles.
In 2022, she travelled with her husband to the Caribbean as Colin plays for the Caribbean Premier League team Trinbago Knight Riders. In his formative cricketing years, Colin would travel alone with Tehere and the kids at home.
During the time of COVID, athletes worldwide were required to take extra precautions and so did Colin who at the time was required to quarantine in a hotel room when he made an appreciation post for his better half, Tehere who was in the frontline.
Tehere, an occupational health nurse at Green Cross Health was not only serving the people but was also holding down the fort and taking care of their kids. This selfless act certainly deserved attention as many working mothers like Colin had to put aside their fears to take care of others.
Appreciation posts like those are quite common on the cricketer’s Instagram handle and maybe it’s one of many reasons why his best partnership has been with his love of life.

Chloe Munro, age 8, is the first baby of Colin and Tehere. In an interview, the pair described Chloe as a perfect baby, which gave them the illusion that having another one would also be a piece of cake.
The cricketer shared a post for his daughter’s birthday and asked forgiveness as he couldn’t be present on the special day. Like her father, Chloe might also be looking forward to becoming an athlete as she is on the school’s swim team.
Whenever Colin is abroad, Chloe and her little brother facetime their dad and show him them preparing breakfasts. In 2018, Chloe celebrated her birthday in Trinidad and Tobago and was wished by all her dad’s teammates.

Collin Munro, age 6, was born on February 12, 2016. Colin’s little boy is already looking to become a cricket player.
Hewas seen wearing his dad’s jersey and helmet, which clearly were oversized for him.
By the time he was two, Connor and his sister were already heading to the gym with their dad. Colin shared a video of him training his two kids and wanted them to start young in their fitness journey.
Shortly after Connor’s birth, Colin had to make way for his trip to India as he played for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL. The player said he had only seen his son for one month of his life, but he did have to fulfill his cricketing duties.
Recently, Colin shared a sweet video for his son, which included a compilation of him playing cricket and spending time with his family.
