An English footballer Jordan Pickford has an athlete brother named Richard Logan. He has only one brother as a sibling.

His brother Richard, a forward for the Northern Premier League Division team Shildon AFC, is also a professional football player. So, the Everton goalkeeper isn’t the only family member to make a living playing one of the world’s most popular sports at the highest level.

They both started playing football early, as their father, Lee Logan, would play with them in their backyard. 

His older brother, Richard Pickford, encouraged him to pursue a career as a goalie and helped him get his first contract with a football club. When they were younger, both of them were active participants in football leagues. Unfortunately, Richard could never achieve his goal of reaching the top.

Jordan was only 17 when he signed for Sunderland in 2011. A year later, he was sent to Darlington, his brother Richard’s old club, on a developmental loan. Thus began his long football career.

His brother’s subpar experience in the professional game has helped to strengthen his younger sibling’s drive to achieve his goals by working his way to the top and attracting the attention of England coach Gareth Southgate.

Richard would get him engaged in kickabouts outside their home in Washington, and he would tell his younger sibling to play his heart out and dive about. Similarly, Pickford’s father, Lee, would get him involved in the games.

Jordan recalls watching World Cup during their childhood with his brother, “We were going to school early because of the time difference, and watching England on a massive TV, having our breakfast in the sports hall.”

Richard Logan Has A Son Named Jude Pickford

Jordan’s brother Richard is a father to Jude Pickford. Junior Pickford is also a football player. He won the Player of the month award for Barcelona in February this year. He now plays for Everton FC.

Richard uploaded a picture of him with the trophy on his Instagram. Aside from that, his Instagram is filled to the brim with photographs of his kid Jude. The father-son dynamic is a beautiful thing to see and something to treasure.

Similarly, Richard always brings him to watch his brother Jordan’s football games. The two father-son duos were in the stand for the Euro 2020 final to see Jordan play for England against Italy.

Jordan Pickford Brother Richard Logan Played For Darlington

Richard Logan, 34, played for National League North team Darlington from 2005 to 2007.

It was in Darlington that he got the start of his professional football career as a player. On March 5, 2005, he entered the league for the first time as a substitute in a game against Bury at home. He was just 16 years old at the time.

In September of 2005, he was permitted to join Workington on loan so that he could get experience playing for a first-team squad. Later in September 2006, he went out on loan to Gateshead. Then in early 2007, Darlington let him go on free as the club released Richard after two years of stay.

After that, he signed a contract with the Virginia Beach Mariners, whose manager is a former international player for Northern Ireland named Colin Clarke. Jord Pickford’s brother then traveled to Sweden to play for Ostevalls.

In 2009, he was a member of the Consett football team. After his time with Consett, he played for Sunderland RCA, where he had a successful season. After that, he joined Shildon AFC for the 2011–12 season and continued his career there. He sustained an injury to his cruciate ligament over the offseason for Shildon, which kept him out of action until the 2013 season. Richard still pledges his loyalty to the NPL club.

Jordan Pickford’s parents, Susan and Lee Pickford reared two football players Jordan and his older brother Richard.

His parents raised their two sons in Washington County Durham. England. “I come from a working-class background, my dad’s always worked. He left home as a 16-year-old to work as a game-keeper on Lord Lambton’s estate.”

When Jordan signed for Sunderland in 2011 as a teenage boy, Richard contributed to finalizing his brother’s loan deal to his former club Darlington a year later.
