Sarah Hunter’s partner Nathan Smith is a forward coach at Doncaster Knights. He led the BUCS Super Rugby coaching, and the forwards play for the men’s National Two rugby program.
She resides in Loughborough with her partner, Nathan Smith, where they occasionally practice together.
On weekdays, they both get up at 5:30 am since Nathan has to drive to Yorkshire to work as a coach for the Doncaster Knights rugby team.
Many outstanding young players have benefited greatly from Nathan’s guidance, and many have become successful professionals. Recent examples include Cameron Boon and Thibaut Flament (Toulouse).
Before working at Castle Park, Nathan served as Steve Boden’s assistant coach at Yorkshire Carnegie. He was also the head coach at Ilkley RFC.

Before he started coaching, Nathan played in the National League and was a fantastic player. However, he changed his attention to coaching. When he met Sarah, she gave him the encouragement he needed to succeed in his career.
His first job was as a sports coach at the International Sports Training Camp which lasted a little over a year, from June 2014 to September 2015.

Nathan first appeared on Sarah’s Instagram on July 3, 2022. They had recently gotten back from Royal Box Wimbledon after being part of a Sporting Saturday.
When Sarah plays for her nation, Nathan will undoubtedly cheer her on from the stands, giving her more confidence.

He arrived in Doncaster from Loughborough and was appointed by the Doncaster Knights for the season 2020/21.
Head Coach Steve Boden was delighted about Nathan joining the team. Steve had previously worked with Nathan and found his age and ambitions refreshing.
Nathan had been working as a lead BUCS Super Rugby and Forwards Performance Coach for more than two years before he received an offer to join Doncaster Knights as Forwards and Breakdown Coach.

Before going to the Midlands, Nathan worked as Boden’s assistant coach at Yorkshire Carnegie and served as the head coach of Ilkley RFC.
He holds a BSc in Sports Science from the University of Leeds and has played in the National League before becoming an RFU Level 4 registered coach. Nathan also holds experience as a Camp Director and Sports Educator.
