Harry Edward Greenwell Case Update
Until DNA from the evidence was submitted in 2008, the murders were considered cold cases.
Greenwell was identified as the murderer after a DNA match with a close family member.
The Indiana State Police testing lab returned a 99.999 percent probability match.
On April 5, 2022, the Indiana State Police released Greenwell’s identity and indicated that they are investigating the “clear potential” of Greenwell being engaged in other violent crimes throughout the Midwest.
