Brett Rypien Wife Laura Buck Is A College Athlete Turned Interior Designer

Brett Rypien wife Laura Buck played soccer at Boise State University. Brett and Laura graduated in 2018. 

Laura started playing soccer as the striker for the all-girls team at Westview high school, located in her hometown of San Diego, California. 

Following her sister, Lindsey Carter’s steps, she went to Boise State University in Idaho. She continued playing the sport in college and made some lifelong friends along the way. 

Laura and Brett met at Boise State and started dating in 2016. She was supportive of her boyfriend’s football career since the beginning. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in public relations, advertising, and applied communication. 

Laura started working as an interior designer soon after her graduation. On August 23, 2021, she announced her own interior designing company Shoreline Interiora as she was always passionate about designing people’s living spaces. 

After establishing her own company, she announced it on social media, “As many of you know, I’ve been doing interior design for a while now, but I finally have my business name, website, and social media page all up and running~ it’s so exciting!”

At Shoreline Interiors, Laura specializes in renovations and remodels. The business has seen a fair amount of success since its inception, featuring on Pottery Barn, Havely, and Shades of Light. The company’s services and beautiful portfolio can be viewed at www.shorelineinteriors.net

Brett Rypien and Laura Buck married on April 9 this year after six years of dating. 

They were engaged in California and pronounced husband and wife in San Diego. On their 3rd anniversary, Laura revealed that their first date was in a local restaurant, Barbacoa Grill, just outside Boise State on April 5, 2016. 

Since the duo met in 2016 while they were college athletes, they have had a very loving and supportive relationship. Both of them playing in different college sports teams was perhaps one of the things they bonded over. 

During his time at Boise State, Brett had a good college career, finishing his 4-year run with the highest number of passing yards, completions, and 3-yard passing performances. Laura was no slouch either, finishing her 2016 season will all 21 games played. 

Their bond was very strong from the beginning of their relationship. The couple visited Toronto and watched Ice Hockey in 2017. They also ran a half-marathon together in 2018. 

Since they got together in their freshman year, Laura was Brett’s number 1 fan. When he got drafted in 2019 by the Denver Broncos, Buck had her prayers answered. 

Brett proposed to Laura on January 25, 2021, on a beach in Carlsbad, California, with a giant diamond ring. Brett’s 5-year-old dog, William “Willie” Rypien, helped his dad with the proposal. 

Buck has an amazing group of girlfriends who obviously wouldn’t send her off without having one last blast as an unmarried woman. The group had a fun weekend dressing up, drinking, and swimming just before the wedding. 

Her sisters, Lindsey and Jamie Buck, threw a nice and modest bridal shower for their sister 182 days before her wedding. 

Waiting for the big day anxiously, the couple planned their wedding together for a year. At the Omni La Costa Resort in California, Brett and Laura finally tied the knot on April 9, 2022, at 2:30 pm.

Logan Kurucz was the best man and Lindsey Carter was the maid of honor. The wedding ceremony was followed by cocktail hour.

“An amazing day spent with so many amazing people. I couldn’t be more proud to marry this beautiful woman,”Brett captioned his wedding Instagram post. 

Today, Brett is still killing it on the football pitch for the Broncos while his loving partner attends his games and cheers on from the sidelines. While Laura follows her passion for interior design, venturing into her own business, Brett is just as supportive. The couple is extremely lucky to have each other.
