Carla Waldman Faces Backlash Against Racism
A video of Carla Waldman yelling racist slurs at Amy Xu, an Asian woman, went viral in 2019.
Amy Xu was driving her 3-year-old daughter and mother to a doctor’s appointment when she came across Waldman.
According to reports, Waldman reportedly pulled in, crossed the border between parking spots, and collided with Xu’s vehicle. Xu admits to Waldman that she went over the line when she parked.
In response, Waldman says, “I crossed the line! You are completely ignorant! Return to your home country of China.
Waldman’s racial tirade continues unprompted as she tries to get into her car. In the video, Waldman calls Xu a “Chinky, chinky China lady” and asks her to return to her country, China.
The controversy started when Amy Xu, an Asian woman, recorded the outburst after two cars collided in the parking lot of the Shopping Centre in Richmond, British Columbia.
On both of Waldman’s Facebook profiles, there are thousands of comments on older posts. On her Facebook page, one of the posts with a profile picture has a remarkable 12,000 comments.
