Curtis Turner Wife Ann Ross And His Four Children – Where Is His Family Now?

Curtis Turner and his wife Ann Ross shared four children in their 23 years of marriage. Ann said there were some good memories in a marriage that was not pleasant in any manner.

The NASCAR legend passed away at age 46 after his plane crashed into a mountain near Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. His friend and golf club professional Clarence King also passed away in that unfortunate accident.

After his demise, his daughter said it felt like a bomb had exploded as all their life turned upside down. One of the biggest names in the racing sport, Turner hadn’t left anything for his family with his estate ceasing all of his memorabilia.

On November 8, 2022, NASCAR opened its voting for the 2022 NMPA Most Popular Driver, an award first won by the sport’s most flamboyant man Curtis Turner in 1949.

Ann Ross is the first wife of Curtis Turner, the former NASCAR driver. Ann and Curtis parented four children before their divorce in the early 60s.

Ann and Curtis found it difficult to convince their family, so they decided to elope in 1946. Their marriage was rocky for most of the 23 years, with Curtis notoriously being known as a womanizer in the tabloids.

While married to Curtis, Ann lived comfortably with their children, but after his demise, their life turned 180 with the family not even having enough to eat.

The big houses, limousines, and airplanes were reduced to hospital beds and orphanage homes. After his demise, the estate had taken over Curtis’ property and had left Ann and her kids were left with nothing.

A painful moment that Ann recalled in the family interview with Greensboro was when she asked for water in the glass she previously owned.

Two months after Turner’s demise, Ann moved to Florida but she later relocated to Virginia after which she was hospitalized for a long time.

And as her children grew, Ann did find some solace in seeing her children succeed in their respective fields. And though she had tumultuous married life with the legendary race car driver she says it did have lots of good memories as well.
