Deebo Samuel Parents And The Story Behind The Nickname
Deebo Samuel was born to parents Galen Samuel and Felicia Winn in South Carolina. Deebo grew up with his stepmother named Precious Martin.
Growing up, he had to walk through the storm at a young age as the situation at his home was not good. However, with proper support from his loved ones, especially his stepmom, Samuel is now one of the best players at the San Francisco 49ers.
The 49ers selected him in the second round of the NFL Draft in 2019.

Felica Winn is the birth mother of Deebo and his brother Tyquan. When the boys were really young, Felica got into some lifestyle that made her incapable to be there for her children and family.
Despite everything, Deebo mentioned that he will never resent or blame her for the way their lives turned out to be. In fact, after he got into the NFL, he was successful in sending her to the rehab center to help her mentally. Similarly, he also bought her a house which helped her get back on her feet.
Now, Felica is working at a restaurant and she really gets along with her children and also their stepmother, Precious Martin.

Samuel was raised by his stepmom Precious Martin. His dad Galen and Precious got together when he was at the age of six, and as a kid, he never really knew the nuances of a real and a stepmother.
After his ninth grade, Deebo and his father moved to her house in Inman, South Carolina. Despite having her kids, Precious always made time for Deebo and his brother as well.
He even mentioned that without her, he would have never been able to move forward because she had saved him.

Deebo Samuel real name is Tyshun Samuel and his stepmom gave him the nickname due to his mischievousness.
As a young child, he was pretty notorious and used to create havoc everywhere. He even used to bully other people around him.
Precious, on the other hand, was the one who was best at giving punishments to keep her children on track. Even when he wanted to go to Spartanburg to visit his friends and family, she stopped him as it was a place that brought him a lot of pain.
His parents threatened to take his football away if he dared to return there.
Precious was indeed like a life coach to him. She loved him dearly and always guided him to the right path. In every bad situation, such as injuries or setbacks, she would remind him that it was just a test and bad times won’t last forever.

Tyquan had a criminal background and was on and off the cell, making Deebo mad for months. But once he was out for good, he started coming to see his football matches at his college.
Whatever happened in the past, he always leaned on his brother because he wouldn’t have been an athlete without him.

Samuel became a father back in December 2021. He never posted a picture of the baby’s mother but he loves his son and calls him “Right Hand.”
Whenever he is free, he spends time with his kid and they have celebrated many occasions together.
