Edi Gathegi Parents Raised Their Three Children With A Lot Of Love And Support
Edi Gathegi parents are John N’ Gathegi and Anne Wanja Gathegi. Edi father and mother raised him in Florida along with his two siblings.
The actor used to play basketball at the University of California, Santa Barbara. However, he couldn’t be an athlete for long as he suffered from a knee injury.
After that, he took Acting classes at New York University and graduated in 2005. After graduation, he started acting as a part of different theatre plays.

Edi Gathegi was born to parents John N’ Gathegi and Anne Wanja Gathegi in Kenya. Edi spent some childhood there before the family relocated to the USA.
His father and mother married on January 1, 1977. After being blessed with three kids, they moved to San Francisco, California, and raised their kids there.
After spending a few years in California, they moved to Florida, where Edi and his siblings were raised.
Edi Father John Is A University Professor
John Gathegi is a professor of Information Law and Policy at the University of Florida. He has been working as a professor for more than a decade.
He did his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the United States International University in Nairobi. John has a degree from one of the most precious universities in California.
When they moved to California, he went to the University of Califonia, Berkeley, and did his Master’s degree in Political Science from 1987 to 1988. He also did his Ph.D. in Information Studies at UC Berkeley and graduated in 1990.
John’s first job after graduation was working as an Assistant Professor at Florida State University from 19990 to 1993.
After working there for three years, he returned to UC Berkeley and took a JD in Law in 1996. After his graduation, he started working as an Attorney at one of the law firms in Oakland for two years.
In 1998, he left the law firm and became a Dean of the Humanities and Social Science Divisions at Merrit College till 2002. He then started working as an Associate Professor in Florida.
John even spent his teaching journey outside of the USA. From March 2013 to 2014, he worked as a Visiting Professor at the Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey.
At the same time, he was also a Visiting Professor at the Vietnam National University-University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
He has been working as a Director at the School of Library and Information Science at the University of South Florida from 2007 to 2009.
John has also worked as a Professor at the University of South Florida since August 2007 and is still a part of it.
Anne Wanja Gathegi
Edi’s mother, Anne Gathegi, passed away last year in October 2022 due to the brief illness that she had been going through.
While she was in her hometown in Kenya, she used to work as a teacher at St Anne’s School. She started working after she completed high school at Equator Girls High School.
After completing high school, she also worked as a Salesperson at Kimathi Emporium.
Anne was an active member of the Kenya Christian Fellowship when her family was in California. She received an AA for early childhood development from Peralta Community College and decided to join UC Berkeley later.
At UC Berkeley, she did her Bachelor’s in Social Work, and after her graduation, she spent most of her career in the teaching field before finally retiring in the year 2020.
She had great faith in her religion and was always loved for her caring nature.
She had been married to her husband John for 45 years before passing away while surrounded by her loved ones.
Edi Gathegi Family Are His Greatest Supporter
Edi Gathegi has two siblings Nathan Gathegi and Beti Gathegi. All three of them were raised with a lot of love and care.
Nathan is active on Instagram as @coordnatethegreat. He has 1265 followers and 1559 followings on his account and shares a lot of posts.

According to his Instagram, he attends many music events and performs there.
However, there is not much information available on Beti as she is not active on any social media account.
Edi Is Married To Adriana
Edi Gathegi wife Adriana Marinescu is of Romanian descent. Edi and Adriana tied the knot on May 30, 2016.
The first picture that he posted with his partner was back in 2016. In April 2016, he posted a selfie with Adriana right before the event started in New York.
Adriana is also a model and an actor. She is from Los Angeles and has participated in multiple photoshoot campaigns.
The couple married in 2016 and had a private wedding ceremony with close friends and family. They never posted a wedding picture but wished each other their wedding anniversary.
Since both are actors, Edi and Adriana attended one of the events that fought against discrimination in February 2017.

In October 2021, the couple was seen together at the premiere of The Harder They Fall in London. The couple has come on a long journey together and loves each other endlessly.
