The news of Grant Xhaka being arrested has swarmed all over the Internet as he was reported to face assault charges. Earlier in January 2017, Xhaka has been accused of racial abuse, following an altercation on Monday at Heathrow Airport.

Reportedly, the player got into a fight with an airport employee. The statement was given by the Matt Law of The Telegraph where he further added that Granit dropped off a friend at the airport to catch a flight.

There, at the airport, the 24-year-old (then) midfielder called a staff member of the airline a “f–king white bitch.” The racial abuse quickly caught attention according to Ben Kentish of the Independent, however, Arsenal did not respond at that time.

As of now, it is quite uncertain if the player has been arrested again but as per the roaming news, he was arrested in Barnet London.

As the whole detail of Granit Xhaka’s arrest case has not been revealed yet, the sources have that the premier league player was arrested in Barnet London, which is his home location.

In the past, the midfielder for Arsenal has been exonerated of racially assaulting an airport employee at Heathrow airport. Born in Basel, it is where Xhaka began his football career, winning the Swiss Super League in each of his first two seasons.

Born in an ethnic Albanian family, Xhaka has his older brother, Taulant, who is also a professional football player playing for Basel and the Albania National Team.
