Where Is Jason Tatenhove From? Oath Keeper Was National Media Director

Jason Tatenhove is a journalist, tattoo artist, and former national media director for the Oath Keepers who is set to testify in front of the Jan 6 committee on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Jason will appear before the House committee looking into the Capitol disturbances. He will be one of several individuals with connections to extremist groups who appear at the hearing on Tuesday.

Where Is Jason Tatenhove From?

Jason is originally from Colorado, The United States where he is supposedly born and grew up. He holds American nationality and has experience in working in very different lines of professions in the past.

Since June 9, the U.S. House committee looking into the Jan. 6 rebellion has held six public hearings, each of which has revealed new information about the circumstances leading up to the attacks.

The panel will hold its first hearing on Tuesday following the shocking testimony of former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson on June 28.

Hutchinson claimed that Donald Trump was aware of the presence of armed supporters in D.C. on January 6 and that he lunged at his Secret Service detail while trying to drive to the Capitol that day.

Jason Tatenhove Was National Media Director For Oath Keeper

Jason is a longtime resident of Colorado and a former tattoo parlor owner. In 2014, the Oath Keepers teamed together with others to assist Clive Bundy, a rancher from Nevada who earned notoriety for not paying taxes due to the federal government.

The charges were due as a result of Bundy’s livestock grazing on nearby public land. Upon hearing that his livestock would be subject to seizure by the government, Bundy appealed to armed Americans to stand by him.

After some resistance from the government, the Oath Keepers, a group that had been founded in 2009, became well-known. Rhodes was impressed by Jason Tatenhove’s ability and was immediately hired after that encounter.

He is probably married, but the details of his personal life are not available to the mainstream media. He had preferred to respect the privacy of his family members and kept them away from the reach of media.

In 2015 as a spokesperson of Oath Keepers, he wanted to support U.S. Supreme Court’s decision that allowed same-sex marriage. However, Stewart Rhodes, the group’s founder, forbade him to show any support for that decision while being a member of the prestigious group. 

On January 5, 2022, an ABC News documentary titled “Homegrown: Standoff to Rebellion” was made available on Hulu and featured Jason Van Tatenhove.
