Jon Meis, a former student at Seattle Pacific University, has been hailed as a hero for putting a halt to a photo-taking rampage that left one student ineffective and two others injured in June 2014.
Aaron Ybarra, the gunman, was sentenced to 112 years in prison after testimonies.
He was praised and appreciated after assisting with the photo shoot, and he also desired anonymity on social media.

Jom Meis is a former Seattle Pacific University student who was hailed as a hero for stopping Aron Ybarra from being shot on June 5, 2014. We have no idea where this hero is right now or what he’s up to.
As Ybarra attempted to reload his rifle, a student security officer named Jon Meis pepper-sprayed him. Ybarra’s gun was stolen by Meis, who tackled him to the ground. Ybarra began searching his waistband for something, which turned out to be a massive hunting knife. Ybarra’s knife was grabbed from his fingers by Meis, who held him to the ground. All of the injured individuals were taken to Harborview Medical Center after the shooting. Before being released from the hospital, Mies was treated for abrasions. Thank God, he hadn’t been terribly hurt.
He thanked everyone who has supported and loved him after he helped to end the shooting, and he also sought seclusion from social media when the crisis cooled down.

Jon, 22, married his fiancée, Kaylie, in the near future. Twitter users shared a link to Jon and Kaylie’s wedding register when word of Jon’s bravery spread. A crowdfunding effort was also started to cover the couple’s honeymoon and future expenses.
Every item on their wedding registry was purchased within a short time, raising approximately $42,000 for the couple’s future!

Aaron Yabra Jail Sentence And Charges
Aaron Ybarra, who was sentenced to 112 years in prison, identified each of the victims of his June 2014 photo shoot at Seattle Pacific University, including the freshman who was killed, the young girl who was seriously injured, and the three college students who managed to leave.
In November, Ybarra was convicted guilty of premeditated first-degree murder, three counts of attempted first-degree murder, and one act of second-degree assault after a month-long trial.
Ybarra’s wrath at the world drove him to go off his meds, survey the university, and return on the second-to-last day of classes with a 12-gauge shotgun, intending to kill as many people as he could, jurors heard throughout his trial last autumn.
