Facts About Lara Dedmon

She stands for the post of Board Director because She,

  • Supports protecting parents’ rights regarding the well-being of their kids in our educational institutions. And if elected, I would continue assisting parents in having that voice for their children on the School Board, just as I have in the past when I have worked with parents,
  • Supports keeping political and social objectives like CRT out of our youngsters’ education. Whatever name you give them, these beliefs contain inflammatory language that can harm the brains and souls of our children. Our children are not sent to school to be brainwashed by these beliefs; instead, we send them there to learn how to read, write, solve problems, and become informed members of society. The familial values of our community should instead be reflected in our school curricula,
  • Wants their kids to get the finest education we (everyone in the town) can give them, but we’re failing them right now. The FSA reading results for our eighth-grader are at 46%, which indicates that 54% of them are unsuccessful. Nevertheless, slightly over 90% of students graduate from high school. To even start solving this issue, it will need a lot of innovative teamwork between the board, principals, teachers, speech therapists, reading specialists, and parents. But I know I’m up for that challenge because of my professional experience working with kids to improve their literacy abilities for years,
  • As a school board member, she would advocate for all of these concerns, including values, voice, fiscal conservatism, and increasing literacy rates, to ensure that our students graduate with the knowledge and abilities necessary to become morally upright, intellectually capable members of our community.
