Lauren Shulkind ‘Relieved’ Husband Tony Dow Has Not Lost Cancer Battle
Tony Dow’s wife Lauren Shulkind posted a heartbreaking post just a few weeks before the Leave It to Beaver actor was wrongly believed to be dead.
The actor’s agency mistakenly posted about Dow’s passing on social media on Tuesday afternoon, but GMA producer Tony Morisson later confirmed that Dow is, in fact alive.
Tony Dow’s death news was circulated all over the media and later it was declared that he is still alive.
The actor from Leave It to Beaver made his directorial debut in 1989 by helming a scene for The New Lassie, an American children’s and family drama.

As the news immediately spread around the internet, Lauren said that she felt “foolish” about what had occurred.
According to Dow’s manager, Shulkind, 75, thought her husband, who is presently receiving hospice care, had been certified dead and was “extremely distraught” over his situation.
The star was given a cancer diagnosis in May, but Dow and Shuklind remained mum about the type of disease.
The announcement of Tony’s passing was published on his official Facebook page on Tuesday morning, and it has been deleted now.
Although some media reports claimed the actor had passed away, his son, Christopher Dow, also stated that he is still receiving hospice care while battling a serious surgery of cancer.
According to Christopher, Tony’s son, “Dad is in his final hours at home, receiving hospice care. My wife and I are by his side, along with many friends that have visited. He has a fighting heart.”

Lauren Shulkind Age: How Old Is She?
Lauren Shulkind is 75 years old, she was born in 1947 in New York.
Lauren works as a designer. Although Dow started out in the advertising sector for her professional career, she eventually shifted to mosaic art and sold her works to the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center.

Lauren was the one who regularly kept the public informed about his husband’s condition. She was the one who announced his cancer diagnosis on May 5.
She further stated that his husband had to stay in the hospital’s emergency room for more than a day because there were no beds available for Covid unaffected patients.

Tony Dow has one son named Christopher Dow who was born in March 1973. Tony and Carol Marlow, Tony’s ex-wife, were the parents of Christopher.
It appears that Lauren and Tony have never had children together. Christopher temporarily followed in his father’s footsteps by portraying a young Wally in the 1980s television revival of the classic program The New Leave It To Beaver.
Apart from his sporadic appearances as Wally Cleaver, Christopher leads a quiet life and likes to avoid the spotlight of Hollywood.

According to a Facebook post, Tony’s wife Lauren informed us of his passing this morning and asked that we inform all of his followers. Lauren was clearly inconsolable. “As we’re sure you can imagine, she’s been going through a really tough time.
Since then, Tony’s daughter-in-law has called to let us know that although he is not doing well, he is still alive. Dow is still receiving hospice care in California. Although he is allegedly not doing well, he has not yet passed away.
