Nayyara Noor’s husband, Shehryar Zaidi, is a veteran Pakistani TV actor famed for acting for Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) Home and several other network TV dramas. 

Zaidi gained notoriety for his performance as Farooq in Sehra Main Safar, where he played Lubna Aslam’s brother, Ali Kazmi’s uncle, and Zarnish Khan’s father. Shehryar was also equally famous as the husband of veteran Pakistani singer Nayyara Noor. Noor passed away on August 21, 2022.

In most TV shows and dramas, Shehryar has primarily played characters with complicated relationships with the children. He has extensively collaborated with Ismat Zaidi.

Some of the TV shows for which Shehryar Zaidi is renowned are Bikhray Hain Hum, Dil-e-Veeran, Yeh Na Thi Hamari Qismat, Chupke Chupke, Choti Choti Batain- Kuch Tou Log Kahengay, Kabhi Socha Na Tha, and numerous other. Likewise, he appeared in the movies Lala Begum and Phuppi Ka Ladka Ya Khala Ka Ladka. 

Born in Karachi, the senior Pakistani actor was married to Nayyara Noor and together had two children. Furthermore, Shehryar has three siblings- Yasmeen Waasti, Arjumand Shaheen, and Syed Shahnawaz Zaidi.

Nayyara Noor, the famed and notable Pakistani playback singer, passed away. She was one of the most accomplished singers from Pakistan who was born in Assam, India.

With her husband, Shehryar Zaidi, Noor had two children, Jaffer Zaidi and Naad-e Ali. Both sons have followed their mother’s lead as Jaffer, the younger son, is the lead vocalist of the music group Kaavish and Naad-e has begun his solo singing career.

The net worth of Nayyara Noor is estimated to be 1.5 million USD; nevertheless, her salary and career earnings have not been mentioned. In 2012, the singer announced that she no longer will be singing professionally, stating that even though the music had been her passion but never her top priority.

Noor had sung hundreds of songs and had always maintained her high standards for singing. Following her marriage, she maintained her primary roles as a wife, and a mother, as making money was not her primary concern.

How Did Nayyara Noor Die?

At 72, the Bulbul-e-Pakistan, Nayyara Noor, died in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. Her nephew, Raza Zaidi, informed her followers about her demise on his Twitter account. Raza wrote- “beloved aunt (tayi) Nayyara Noor. May her soul R.I.P. She was given the title of ‘Bulbul-e-Pakistan’ because of her melodious voice.”

Noor was one of the well-known Pakistani singers of the 1990s. She was referred to as Nightingale of Pakistan and had amassed several honors like the Pride of Performance Award (2006) and Nigar Award (1973).

Nayyara Noor was born on November 3, 1950, in Guwahati, Assam, where she spent her early childhood. She moved from India to Pakistan at age 5 or 6 with her mother and siblings. Her father, however, remained in Assam till 1993 to take care of the family’s real estate.

Noor is credited as drawing inspiration from Begum Akhtar’s ghazals and thumris and the bhajans of Kanan Devi and Kamla when she was a young girl. The playback singer made her public singing debut in Pakistani television serials in 1971 and later started singing in movies beginning with Tansen and Gharana.

She had performed with several legendary artists like Mehdi Hassan and Ahmed Rushdi. Likewise, Noor had sung ghazals written by notable poets like Ghalib and Faiz Ahmed Faiz. Even though she left the world, she will be remembered for hits like “Roothay Ho Tum” and “Kabhi Hum Khoobsurat Thay.”
