Nicole Reffitt is the wife of Guy Reffitt, who was sentenced to more than seven years in prison for bringing a handgun to the U.S. Capitol during the January 6 riot.

Lady Reffitt’s husband, accused of the Capitol uprising on January 6, 2021, has pleaded guilty. The Anti-Defamation League refers to the Three Percenters as “anti-government fanatics who are a part of the militia movement,” according to Reffitt’s wife, Nicole.

Several of them, including Nicole and her son, reported their Guardian to the police for the crime he had committed by associating with “anti-government crazies who are a member of the militia movement.” 

Following the hearing of the verdict, Nicole Reffitt was reportedly heard shouting outside the court that it went “against every American. On the basis of your First Amendment rights, you will be found guilty. Americans should exercise caution. This battle has only just begun “said the A.P.

She allegedly exclaimed, “You are all in danger,” believing the government was making an example out of her husband.

A court on Monday sentenced a Donald Trump supporter Guy Reffitt from Texas, who attempted to storm the U.S. Capitol for a “terrorist enhancement” that would have resulted in a longer jail term.

On Monday, Mr. Reffitt was given a sentence of more than seven years in prison for possessing a gun supporting ‘terrorist enhancement”. The first January 6 defendant to go to trial was Guy Reffitt. Reffitt’s son warned the FBI a few weeks before the incident but didn’t hear back from them until after.

The government had a ton of evidence against Reffitt, including the testimony of his companion, who claimed that Reffitt was carrying zip ties and that the two had decided to carry weapons because they’d prefer to be “tried by a jury. Of 12 than carried by six.”

Jackson (son) claimed that he had expressed concerns to the FBI about his father in the days leading up to the uprising.

The prosecution characterized Reffitt as a key figure in the Capitol riots, pushing numerous protesters up the steps toward Capitol police stationed outside the doors and encouraging others to keep going after being pepper sprayed.

According to the AP, Reffitt was accused of threatening his two children if they told authorities that he was involved in the incident, which led to the obstruction of justice allegation being leveled against him.

Reffitt informed his two children, 18 and 16 at the time, that if they reported him to law police, they would be “traitors” to him and that “traitors get shot,” according to the prosecution, when he returned to his Texas home after the disturbance.

Reffitt was found guilty on five counts in March, including transporting a firearm to support a civil disturbance and interfering with an official procedure. He was eventually rendered helpless after charging the police line and could not enter the Capitol or use force.

Reffitt was given a sentence of 87 months in prison, three years of probation, $2,000 in restitution, and required mental health therapy by Judge Dabney L. Friedrich.

No reasonable meaning of the word “patriot” would include Mr. Reffitt’s actions on and around January 6, according to Friedrich. On January 16, Reffitt was taken into custody at his house in front of his wife, daughter, and son. Jackson soon claimed that he had finally decided to leave his house.

“This has been devastating for my family and me, especially for my children, my son — basically, every one of my family,” Reffitt said in a December interview with ABC News while speaking from prison.

He felt guilty on the inside, but it could just be a sympathetic reaction to what he had done.
