Eugene felt love and pride for both of his children. Eugene was a loving father who prioritized providing for his daughters and ensured that the family was together and happy for most of their time together.

Olivia Melnyk, the second child of late Canadian tycoon Eugene Melnyk, was devasted by her father’s demise.

Melnyk was brought to the Toronto General Hospital in May 2015 with end-stage liver failure. As a result of a public request for a live liver donor, he obtained a liver transplant from an anonymous donor. Survived by his two daughters and his wife, Eugene passed away on the 28th of March in 2022, at age 62.

In the past, Olivia pursued the diploma class for her high school graduation at Ridley College, a private institution located in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.

Olivia was awarded the title of Ontario Scholar in 2020 by the Ministry of Education of Ontario in recognition of her active participation in various extracurricular activities at school. Her alma mater, Ridley College, also presented her with The Birks Medal in English and S.D. Vaughan Tier II Girls’ Hockey Award. 

Olivia held the position of assistant program coordinator at Senators Sports & Entertainment.

After approximately four months, beginning in May 2021 and ending in August 202, she handed in her resignation letter. She has been pushing herself to her limits daily, ultimately developing her into a confident and fearless lady.

Before she was appointed as the assistant program coordinator, the second daughter of Eugene served as the Research & Marketing Intern in 2020 and a project intern in 2019.

Olivia decided to move on with her career and left Senators Sports to become an editor for Her Campus Media at Queen’s University. She started working there in September 2021. In April of 2022, the organization she worked for elevated her to the position of Head Editor.

Anna and Olivia Melnyk are the only children of their father, Eugene Melnyk. Olivia was born in September 2002, and her sister Anna was born a couple of years prior to her birth.

She recently finished her Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she graduated in Communications with a Computing Specialization. UCLA is among the oldest university in the country.

In Barbados, where Melnyk also operated a private school, Eugene’s aide, Perepiatenko, handled online privacy. Olivia and her sister Anna jointly own the Ottawa Senators. Following the passing of her beloved father Eugene, the previous owner of the Senators, his daughters Anna and Olivia took over as owners of the Ottawa Senators and their American Hockey League club, the Belleville Senators.

With just one month left in the 2021-22 season, Anna and Olivia innate the club that was no longer in the running for the playoffs. During the summer of 2022, the Senators strengthened their roster by acquiring Claude Giroux and Alex DeBrincat. 

The Ottawa Senators invited Eugene Melnyk’s daughters to participate in the official club photo for the 2021-22 season, and they did so with great honor. Before playing their last game at Canadian Tire Centre, the Senators posed for the official squad photo.

Anna and Olivia are huge hockey fans, and the two have the plan to reinvigorate this Senators squad and become one of the best teams in the league.
