“While disappointed to miss the Test, yesterday fate took hold and we welcomed Hugo Poulton-Haynes into the world,” she said after Hugo was born. 

Despite being aware of the restrictive quarantine guidelines, Haynes, 34, said back in August that she would not miss the delivery of her kid and would be returning to her hometown.

At the start of the Day-Night Test at the Carrara Oval in Queensland last year, she was with the Australian team. But she went back to her Sydney home to be with her wife, who was about to give birth any day. Haynes shared a sweet photo on social media to express her gratitude for her family despite missing the Test match against India after becoming a mom.
