22-Year-Old Suspect Robert Crimo Aka Awake the Rapper Siblings Details Revealed, Family Origin Described

Robert Crimo, a person of interest connected to the tragic shooting on Monday in Highland Park, Illinois, has been arrested.

According to a press release from the city, sixteen individuals were sent to the hospital for their injuries, while other persons proceeded to surround hospitals on their own.

After being recognized by a North Chicago police officer at around 6:30 p.m., Crimo was brought into custody. After a brief chase, Crimo was detained without incident in neighboring Lake Forest after being stopped.

Crimo, who is still listed as a “person of interest,” was reportedly escorted to the Highland Park Police Department for interrogation, according to the police.

In a statement made earlier on Monday evening, the FBI stated that Crimo “should be considered armed and dangerous” and announced a reward for information leading to his capture.

According to officials, Robert “Bobby” E. Crimo III was arrested by police “without incident” after being seen operating a vehicle that matched the description on an FBI wanted poster.

People want to know about his siblings and personal information. However, as Crimo’s Facebook and Instagram accounts were deleted, there is less information available on him.

Robert Crimo is the son of Bob Crimo. Bob Crimo, the father of the alleged Chicago July 4 parade gunman, campaigned for mayor of Highland Park in 2019.

Bob Crimo, however, lost the mayoral election. Police assert that the at least six fatalities and 31 reported injuries on Monday are attributable to his 22-year-old son, also known as Awake the Rapper on social media.

Robert Crimo Biography

A 22-year-old man named Robert E. Crimo III also apparently goes by the name “Bobbie.” He was detained a few hours later while operating a 2010 silver Honda Fit with an Illinois license plate.

According to rumors, Crimo used the name “Awake the Rapper” to perform and publish numerous of his own rap compositions. Due to “violations of the platform’s norms,” YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter have now taken down social media accounts that looked to be associated with Robert Crimo III.

The shooting at the Independence Day celebration is the most recent in a string of large-scale shootings that have recently been recorded in grocery shops, churches, and schools. During the celebration of July 4, US President Joe Biden voiced shock over “senseless gun violence.”

Arrested: Shooting Suspect from the Highland Park Parade

Police detained Robert “Bobby” E. Crimo III after spotting him driving a vehicle that matched the description on an FBI wanted poster, according to officials. 

The neighborhood police had earlier in the day characterized the suspect as a Caucasian male with a tiny physique and long black hair.

Police said that on Monday in the wealthy Highland Park neighborhood of Chicago, a shooter fired onto a Fourth of July parade from a rooftop.

Five individuals were found dead at the scene following the shooting, while a sixth person later died after being brought to the hospital.

Investigators said that when a North Chicago officer spotted Crimo, he attempted to stop vehicles. Crimo led police on a brief pursuit before being caught.

Without incident, he was taken into custody, and he will now be taken to the Highland Park police station, the scene of the fatal shooting that took place on Monday.
