Is Sandy Fernandez In Jail? Kent Mother Arrested On Baby Jose Murder
On a $1 million bond, Sandy Fernandez is being held at the King County Correctional Facility. On Monday, King County prosecutors filed second-degree murder charges against a Kent woman concerning the passing of her 2-year-old son.
According to probable cause documents, she is charged with hitting her kid, breaking his jaw and skull, and causing severe internal injuries that resulted in an infection.
Court records state that Fernandez initially denied hitting her son during a police interview but subsequently admitted to “getting upset” with him and hitting him in the abdomen before throwing him to the ground.

The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Casey McNerthney, claims that the bond amount accurately represents the depravity of the incident. “The defendant repeatedly punched her 2-year-old son in the belly before throwing him to the ground on a wooden floor. These attacks caused severe internal injury.
The bleeding had an internal hemorrhage, a damaged jaw, and a cracked skull at the time of death. By court filings, Hometown Suites on Pacific Highway South, where Fernandez worked and resided with her son and boyfriend, received assistance from Kent police and Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority.
According to court documents, Fernandez and her boyfriend stated that he had started vomiting the day before. I did not wake up until several hours into the night.

Shaun Earl and Jaime Bentley, Jose’s grandparents, claim they had no idea what Jose’s ex-partner was capable of. They were frightened and brokenhearted. They claim their connection with Fernandez was tense and that she forbade them and their kid from participating in Jose’s life.
According to the prosecution, Fernandez allegedly confessed to striking Jose twice in the abdomen while being questioned. Additionally, she described how her stress levels had increased since leaving her mother’s home, telling authorities that all she wanted to do was strangle her ex-boyfriend.

According to the prosecution, Fernandez was residing at the motel where she worked in Kent with her kid and her new lover, Cristian Garcia. A blanket on the hardwood floor served as Jose’s bed.
On August 11, she will be prosecuted. As of Monday night, Fernandez had not been appointed a lawyer.

How The Murder Of Baby Jones Took Place?
According to court documents, Fernandez confessed to slamming her kid on the floor the morning he was ill because she was upset from being overworked and wanted him to get back to sleep when police informed her of the findings.
According to court filings, she initially told detectives that she didn’t mean to “slam” her son to the ground but eventually confessed to hitting him in April and a week before his death because he refused to go to sleep.
The probable cause records, Fernandez called 911 dispatch on May 23 to report that her son wasn’t breathing and wasn’t reacting. The boy was declared dead by arriving medical personnel, and investigators observed bruising on the child.
