Seth Jarvis, a rookie forward for the Carolina Hurricanes, suffered an upper-body injury after being hit by New York Rangers defenseman Jacob Trouba in the first period of Game 7 on Monday night.
According to his teammates, he will not return to future games for a while.

Jarvis slowly returned to the bench after the injury, and the Hurricanes were charged with a too-many-men penalty. For a 2-0 lead, the Rangers took advantage of the power play.
About eight minutes into the first period, Trouba collided with Jarvis as he was passing the puck to a teammate. Trouba skated up to him and slammed a brutal upper-body hit into him.
