Sonny Bill Williams Sister Niall Williams Is A NZ Rugby Player

Sonny Bill has a sister Niall Williams who plays rugby sevens and serves as a member of New Zealand’s women’s national rugby sevens team.

Sonny and Niall share a three-year gap; the boxer born in 1985 is 37 years old, whereas the rugby player born in 1988 is 34 years old. Likewise, their birthdays fall in different months, i.e., August and April.

Furthermore, the siblings play other sports; before becoming a professional boxer, Bill professionally played rugby league and rugby union from 2004 to 2021 and made his pro boxing debut in 2009.

Similarly, Williams is a former New Zealand international touch football captain, and the athlete was a gold medalist at the 2005 Youth World Cup. The rugby player also became a silver medalist at the 2011 Touch Football World Cup.

Sonny and Niall Grew Up With Two Other Siblings

Sonny and Niall are not the only siblings; they have a brother named John Arthur Williams, and the rugby player has a twin sister named Denise Williams.

John is also a former athlete who played rugby league in the New South Wales Cup and Queensland Cup. Likewise, he also played for the New Lynn Stags, the Phelan Shield premiers, and in the 2011 Auckland Rugby League season.

However, Denise has not revealed if she played any sports but has always supported her siblings. Furthermore, their cousins Henry Perenara, Marcus Perenara, Tim Nanai-Williams, and Nick Williams are also athletes.

Niall has a partner of 14 years, Tama Guthrie, a former 34 years old Touch Blacks player.

Tama was born the same year as her long-time girlfriend in 1988, and he marks his birthday every year on the 25th of February.

Furthermore, the pair began dating when they were 19 in 2007, and they will celebrate 15 blissful years of togetherness on the 20th of November 2022, which is only a few days apart.

Williams and Guthrie have been through a lot but never gave up on each other during the tough times. Furthermore, they are both grateful to have one another in their lives. 

Moreover, the rugby league player described her lover as humble, loyal, loving, strong-willed, and a kickback. However, they haven’t referred to each other as a husband and a wife or posted pictures from their wedding ceremony on social media.

Niall Williams And Her Partner Share Two Children

Williams and Guthrie are proud parents to two children; the pair have welcomed two beautiful souls into the world.

The couple is a girl-dad and mom; the rugby player has blessed her partner with two gorgeous daughters, Tatum-Lee and Rema-Rae.

They welcomed their first child in 2012, and Tatum-Lee turned ten on the 29th of May, 2022. Likewise, her little sister Rema-Rae was born in 2014, and the little one celebrated her 8th birthday on the 23rd of January, 2022.

The siblings have followed in their parent’s footsteps from a young age; Tama shared a few photos and videos of her kids playing rugby, expressing his pride in watching them play on the field.

Sonny and Niall were born to Ioane (“John”) Williams and Lee Woolsey in a working-class family; they grew up in a government house in the Auckland suburb of Mount Albert.

John is Samoan, raised in New Zealand, serving as a painter, and working at Sydney’s Garden Island. Likewise, Lee is a Kiwi of European lineage (half-New Zealander and half-Australian) who served as a carer in an aged care home. 

The siblings didn’t have a luxurious lifestyle while growing up, but they had a relatively normal happy upbringing with unconditional love. Furthermore, the boxer pursued his rugby career to get their mom a new house.

However, their mom and dad separated when Bill was in his early teen; although the boxer’s siblings stayed with their mum, he chose to stay with their dad and has never regretted his decision.
