Jenna Ellis, a Longmont native who served as a lawyer for former President Donald Trump, is facing a disbarment attempt in Colorado for her role in attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
States United Democracy Center, a bipartisan watchdog group, filed a complaint against Ellis with the Colorado Supreme Court’s Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel on Thursday, requesting an investigation into whether she breached her ethical obligations as an attorney.
Jenna is a lawyer who previously worked on Donald Trump’s legal team. She was a former assistant professor of legal studies at Colorado Christian University and a former deputy district attorney in Weld County, Colorado.

Jenna Ellis has joined Pennsylvania Republican Doug Mastriano’s governor campaign as a senior legal consultant. She was one of the most high-profile attorneys involved in the Trump team’s efforts to reverse the 2020 election results.
Mastriano’s campaign did not respond to concerns regarding Ellis’s involvement, and Ellis declined to comment further.

Ellis’ appointment came the same day that a congressional committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack heard public testimony focusing on Giuliani’s and others’ phoney election fraud charges.
According to Reuters, witnesses at Monday’s (June 13th) session included former Attorney General William Barr and other key Trump officials who denied the claims of fraud. The committee has subpoenaed Ellis, although it is unclear whether she will testify in future meetings.
