Tiffany Smiley Husband Scotty Smiley Is An Author, Washington Senate Candidate’s Family Life

Tiffany Smiley married her high school sweetheart and husband, Scotty Smile, on 20 December 2003. They are nearing two decades of their marriage now. And along these years, the couple has sure gone through a lot.

The then-lieutenant Scotty was deployed to Mosul, Iraq, in October 2004, and Tiffany was working as a triage nurse at that time. Everything went well until an unfortunate incident turned their lives upside down in 2005. 

 Scotty was driving his soldiers through Mosul when he was hit by a car bomb, leaving him in a coma and permanently impairing both of his eyes. Tiffany quickly reserved a flight to where her husband was admitted after learning the news, and what she experienced there molded a significant turn in her and her husband’s life. 

Upon arriving, Tiffany noticed that Scotty was still receiving trauma care, and soon after, she was told that Scotty would never be able to serve his country in the Army. Tiffany was even requested to formally approve Scotty’s immediate dismissal from the Army by signing a document there and then.

But Tiffany snubbed everything. In addition to ensuring that Scotty received the care he needed, she worked tirelessly to help Scotty show that his extraordinary qualities far surpassed any injuries he had. Because of her stubbornness and refusal to sign his discharge papers, the Army was able to keep Scotty.

As the nation’s first blind active-duty Army officer, Scotty later broke down boundaries for several people who came after. Including all his experiences, from the incident leading to his impairment to his love story to the couple’s extraordinary resolve, Scotty Smiley authored his book Hope Unseen, released in 2010.

Tiffany was born on 19 April 1981, which means she is 41 years old as of 2022. It also means Tiffany got married at the age of 22.

Tiffany was still pursuing her bachelor’s in nursing when she got married. She graduated with her nursing degree a year later after her marriage, at the age of 23. 

When Tiffany was just 24 years old, she landed a caregiver job at Wlater Reed Hospital. She retained the position for nearly a decade, from 2005 to 2014, and then became a Triage nurse at Northwest Obstetrics and Gynaecology Associates INC. 

In between her nursing job, Tiffany was also involved with an organization named Hope Unseen LLC ( a public speaking forum) as its president and co-founder (2010). She is still engaged in the position at present.

Tiffany left her nursing profession completely behind in 2015. And in 2016, she founded an organization of her own, Tiffany Smile, which is still running sound and promising. Likewise, in 2019, Tiffany joined Bream Speakers as a motivational speaker and continues to deliver to her position. We can see that Tiffany was quite busy catering to public speaking forums after she left her nursing profession.

At 41, Tiffany is already running for the US Senator election. Besides, she is a mother to her three children, Grady Douglas, Graham Elliott, and Baylor Scott. Her family of five currently resides in Spokane, Washington.
