He has decided to opt for the traditional transportation medium despite the availability of modern facilities. He revealed that he had planned his journey for a very long time and would accomplish it with the help and support of his friends and family.

He is escorted by the residents of the place that he reaches. He is anticipated to walk via India, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia before arriving in Makkah for Haj in February 2023. Since Shihab is in excellent condition despite continuously walking for almost 50 days, he said that he wanted to continue his journey without putting any pressure on his body, so he walked only 25 kilometers per day. He carried very little luggage with him to ease the travel. He needs to stay hydrated and maintain a proper diet to prevent health-related complications on the journey. 

He traversed the borders of Kerala, Karnataka, and Maharashtra and now has entered Gujrat. As per reports, he will enter Pakistan via Wagah Border. To go to Saudi Arabia, travelers must first pass via Iran, Iraq, and Kuwait. There are numerous holy locations to explore on the journey before reaching Saudi Arabia.
