After being purportedly hounded from the Sukhna Lake Club to Sector 8 here, infamous mobster Prabhjinder Singh aka Dimpy Chandbhan was shot dead by miscreants.
According to police sources, the event occurred about 8.55 p.m., when he was on his way to his buddy Harneev Kaur’s house in Sector 8 after supper at the club.
Two miscreants on a two-wheeler rode up next to the automobile and started the fire as the duo drove down in a blue Swift car.

Between 7.26 and 8.38 p.m. on Friday, Prabhjinder Singh Dimpy spoke with his friend Harneev Dhillon five times in just over an hour before the alleged gangster was shot dead outside Lake Club at 8.40 p.m.
According to the Chandigarh Police Crime Branch, even though Dimpy suspected a threat to his life, Harneev informed him that everything was good and that he didn’t need to be concerned.

A gold chain is mentioned several times, and Dimpy was supposed to return it to Harneev on Friday evening.
Harneev’s automobile was searched, and a smartphone memory card was discovered. The assailants had opened fire in the Maruti Swift car when the two were sitting in it outside the lake Club. Tsarnaev had used the memory card, according to the officers, though Harneev’s brother had picked up two smartphones from the car’s back seat after she arrived at her Sector-8 house.

40-year-old Harneev Kaur, 28, was shot in the right hand, jaw, and torso, while Dimpy was hit multiple times in the stomach and chest.
However, she managed to get the car back to her house and dial 911. The police took Dimpy to the General Hospital, Sector 16, where he was pronounced dead. Harneev’s health is said to be critical.
Dimpy was also alone today, which was rare because roughly 20 armed guys usually escorted him. According to the sources, the assassination was carried out by a rival gang from Uttar Pradesh, as it was their central operating region.
They stated that they would rebuild the sequence of events and back it up with Harneev’s preliminary statement, in which he is accused of calling him alone outside the club.

Dimpy Chandbhan Family Life
Dimpy was a member of a Faridkot district landlord family from Chand Bhan village.
He got his start in the criminal world in 1985, when his name was linked to the murder of Makhan Singh, a student leader at Panjab University in Chandigarh.
Dimpy, the lone son of a widowed mother, has a substantial landholding and is increasing his relationships in the worlds of crime and politics. Despite the fact that his name did not appear prominently during the terrorism in Punjab, he was affiliated with a number of criminal gangs, the leaders of which went on to become MLAs and MPs.
He began contract killing, kidnapping, and looting after joining large gangs in Uttar Pradesh. He was supposedly a henchman for a group of politicians in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana.
