Wout Weghorst Grew Up In A Dutch Business Family

Wout Weghorst father and mother Frans and Astrid Weghorst are a part of a business named Avia Weghorst.

Wout is the third son from a wealthy household. They are considered one of the richest families in Brone, Netherlands due to their oil and gas business. 

Growing up, Frans and Astrid were his first teachers and did their best to raise all their boys well. Being a footballer was always a Plan A for him.

Weghorst father Frans Weghorst started his career as an Algemeen directeur (general manager) of Avia in January 1991.

In January 2009, Frans became the Raad van Commissarissen of AVIA International and has worked in the same position for the last 14 years. 

Both AVIA Weghorst and International are leading businesses in the Netherlands and they have more than 3100 petrol stations in 15 European nations. 

Besides AVIA, Frans is also a Raad van Commissarissen for FC Twente, a Dutch professional Football club.

Mother Astrid Weghorst

Wout Weghorst mom Astrid Weghorst is equally supportive of her children. Astrid is not really active on social media but she is often seen in Wout’s Instagram posts as well. 

She is seen during a get-together and on her Facebook, she has shared childhood pictures of her children. 

Wout Weghorst and girlfriend Nikki van Esch have been together for 11 years. Wout and Nikki started dating back in 2013. 

Nikki graduated with a Bachelor’s in Programme Textile Engineering from Saxion University of Applied Sciences and went to Nantong Textile Vocational Technology College for a year. 

Esch used to work at Dirksen BV for two years, and there, she worked in the position of Product Specialist Kleding from 2015 to 2016. Before that, she worked there as Business Operations Advisor.

Wout and Nikki have moved to different countries because he has been in multiple matches and games as a player. Currently, they are living together in Istanbul.

The couple has an adorable bonding, and Wout and Nikki always share their love for each other. Wout often says that his girlfriend is also his best friend, and he loves her dearly. 

Wout comes from a wealthy Dutch background.

Weghorsts have their own petroleum business in most parts of Europe. 

Wout Weghorst Children

Wout and his girlfriend Nikki are parents of three girls, Juul, Lucie, and Daantje.

Their first daughter Juul was born in September 2018 and their second child Lucie was born in April 2020. The parents have never missed out on spending time with their young girls or traveling with them. 

Similarly, their third child Daantje was born last year on August 2022 and they were pleased to welcome the little one. 

Wout and Nikki always share a picture if they try out fun activities with their daughters. They celebrate different occasions together, walk around parks, and go for a swim.

In October 2019, the Weghorsts had an event at Avia. The event occurred at Boekelo and Wout shared a picture on his Instagram.

The Weghorst Siblings

Wout has three brothers, Twan, Ralf, and Niek Weghorst. The Weghorst brothers were born and raised in the Netherlands. 

Even though the brother lives quite a private life, they have been seen hanging out at a get-together. At the Boekelo event, one of his siblings and his child were also there.
