Related by blood, Aaron Nola is the younger brother of baseball catcher Austin Nola by four years.

Austin started playing shortstop for the baseball team at Catholic High School in Baton Rouge. As a freshman, he was named to the varsity team and was named the Baton Rouge Advocate’s Star of Stars in Baseball when he hit senior year.

The older Nola was drafted in the 48th round of the 2008 MLB Draft by the Colorado Rockies, but he chose to play college baseball for Louisiana State University instead.

Austin’s younger brother by four years, Aaron Michael Nola, is a Major League Baseball pitcher who currently pitches for the Philadelphia Phillies.

Baseball player Austin Nola is related to Aaron Nola by blood and is the older brother of the pitcher for the Phillies by four years. 

Both brothers were born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to baseball coach A.J and part-time secretary Stacie Nola. They grew up playing catch together in the backyard with their brother. A. J. coached Aaron’s Little League team until he graduated from high school.

Aaron and Austin Nola were both chosen in the 2011 MLB Draft by the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball (MLB).

However, rather than sign with the Blue Jays, the younger brother chose to attend Louisiana State University, where his brother was a senior. Aaron currently pitches for the Philadelphia Phillies after majoring in Sports Management.

Austin Nola married his wife Michelle Nola after dating her for a number of years. Much of their married life is spent traveling as a family together for one of Nola’s games. Not surprisingly, Michelle is his biggest supporter.

After officially tying the knot, Michelle became pregnant in the spring of 2019 before giving birth to their son on March 26, 2020. Vincent Nola turned two this March.

His lowest income was in 2012, when he only received a signing bonus of $75,000, which was his total income for the year.

In 2019, he received a significant raise in salary when Seattle signed a contract with him for $316,304. The following year, the total amounted to $91,495.
