In early 2020, Ben Raybourn vanished from the skate scene, leaving fans frenzy over his disappearance.
Over the two years, he was missing from action, there was a lot of speculation, with the most popular being that he was suffering from drug addiction and was getting clean in rehab. There were other unfounded rumors that he was messed up in the head from concussions.
An old friend of Ben, Napalm Jake, posted two videos about the skateboarder, the first on April 26 detailing how Ben has been dealing with anxiety and how it has been difficult for him to contact people and talk to friends and family.
Ben had apparently turned off his phone and logged out of his social media accounts, and Jake himself was having difficulty contacting him.
The second video, released on October 5, 2020, provided an update on Ben’s condition. According to Jake, Ben had a regular job and was not skating as much as he used to.
