The pair were studying at the same college, which was the start of their budding love story. Eventually, the two became closer and now share three children. In a Facebook post made by Texas A&M Commerce, Crystal commented she still misses her good times at college.
As previously mentioned, Crystal messaged Alonzo before the MMA star began liking her social media photos, says Crystal. “He then requested my phone number. After that, we went on several dates. We got married three years later.”
Today, Alonzo and Crystal are so close that the MMA fighter thinks his spouse loves him more than his mother.
In an interview on March 28, 2021, Alonzo said he had a difficult upbringing. The lowest moment in his life was when, at age 14, California Child Protective Services removed him from his mother. He then spent time in his foster home.
His adoptive father ensured the Menifield brothers completed their educations, kept away from gangs, and avoided violence.
Menifield’s mom came to the United States from Belize but fell into drugs. At the same time, his father passed away as an adolescent. He and his brother, Cecil, were adopted by Godwin Ezenwa after a series of short-term foster homes. As he cycled through his life, Menifield has said he is blessed to have a spouse like Crystal.

Crystal Menifield has been working as a model and businesswoman.
Besides being a super mom, Crystal has earned a degree from Texas A&M Commerce. She keeps track of Alonzo’s investments and businesses. The spouse of Alonzo has been active on Instagram with the handle name @clmenifield__, and she has a total of 313 followers.
On August 31, 2022, Alonzo wished Crystal her birthday in an Instagram post.
Alonzo Has Three Kids With Crystal
Alonzo and Crystal Menifield are parents to three grown children.
They have two sons, Alonzo Jr. Menifield and Xavier Menifield, and a daughter, Zola Ann Menifield.
As of 2022, Alonzo Jr and Xavier are eleven and eight, respectively. While his daughter, Zola Ann, is three years old.
Alonzo has always said he is blessed to have Crystal as the mother of his children. In May 2021, he tagged a photo of Crystal to thank her during mother’s day. The five members of Menifield’s family now reside in Plano, Texas. The MMA star is still close to his adoptive parents.
Godwin, his father, is a former architect who now works at The Way In, a Salvation Army shelter in Los Angeles that aids youth in escaping the streets and preparing for independence as adults. He is a devoted Christian and an immigrant from Nigeria.
The biological parents of the UFC fighter are still unknown. His mother raised him until he was 14, after his father left the world when he was a young child.
