A Memorial At Alyssa Altobelli’s Grave
Fans have gathered from near and far fenced-off, private graveyards adorned with purple and gold flowers in error as the ultimate resting place for Alyssa Altobelli.
According to representatives of the Orange County cemetery, the family has not been interred there. They have thus requested that the public respect their privacy.

Although the Bryants’ and Altobelli’s last resting place was listed on death certificates as Pacific View Memorial Park, officials claimed the graves shown were inaccurate.

Bryant and Altobelli were close friends who embodied each other’s most outstanding qualities in their respective fields. Bryant was an NBA legend, and Altobelli was a junior college coaching legend connected by parental love. Alyssa and Gianna Altobelli, both 13 years old and playing travel basketball for Bryant’s Mamba Academy youth squad, were teammates on the team.
The two fathers got along well, with Altobelli frequently giddily reminiscing about the times the “Black Mamba” would let him accompany him on his helicopter to games. He’d go about five or six times, while Alyssa went to birthday parties and sporting events all over Los Angeles many more times.
Altobelli halted his team’s practice on Saturday night to let his assistant coaches know that he, his wife Keri, and Alyssa would leave on Sunday morning for the second day of Bryant’s Mamba Cup competition. This was before Tuesday’s intrasquad opener.
