Bobsleigh: Who Is Cynthia Appiah? Everything We Have On The Athlete

Cynthia Appiah, a Toronto native, is gearing up for her first Olympic appearance as a member of Team Canada at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.

Appiah had been competing on the World Cup circuit for three years when she was informed two weeks before the 2018 Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea, that she would be going as an alternate.

She was demoted, however, after Heather Moyse and Phylicia George appeared. As a result, Appiah became a bystander in what should have been a life-changing event.

She channeled her rage and, upon her return to Canada, shifted into the driver’s seat after years of being a brakewoman. A few weeks after returning from Korea, she went to Lake Placid to attend a driver’s school.

Cynthia Appiah was born to parents Mary Appiah and James Appiah, both Ghanaian immigrants.

Some of her posts are paid partnerships. However, most of them revolve around her life as an athlete. She currently has over 2.7K followers.
