Could Matt Gaetz Be Arrested Over Abortion Comments?

There is already a lot of mess going around in the calendar year of the republican leader Matt Gaetz; he added another controversy by making an ugly body-shaming comment to a 19-year-old abortion activist.

Gaetz has described abortion rights protesters as being physically repulsive and nasty. His statements are now described as “hideous” by the head of an anti-abortion community.

It’s important to note that Gaetz is now under “federal investigation for sex trafficking,” so he may have to use more restraint when saying inappropriate things to women.

Could Matt Gaetz Be Arrested Over Abortion Comments?

Republican Matt Gaetz viciously mocked the physical attributes of women who oppose overturning Roe V. Wade in a speech at a conservative gathering in Florida on Saturday night.

In the video of his speech at the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit in Tampa, Florida, Rep said, “Nobody wants to impregnate you if you look like a thumb.” and called they should not worry about being pregnant.

In demonstrations against the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe V. Wade, the 50-year-old case that legally allowed abortions, the congressman bullied women who were “5-foot-2 and 350 pounds.”

Jezebel, a feminist media forum, criticized the speech as “cartoonishly misogynistic.” And this is not the first time a congressman said something horrible to women. The former United States President Donald Trump, upon the accusation of sexual misconduct against a woman on a plane, commented When you looked at that horrible woman last night. I don’t think so. I don’t think so.” He said to CNN.

Besides, the Florida representative might not get arrested for the comments, and he still faces an investigation for the sex trafficking of a 17-year-old girl in 2019.

Matt Gaetz Under Investigation For Trafficking, Charges and Hearing Details

Gaetz has not been charged with a crime but is also being looked at for obstructing his inquiry. He has consistently denied doing anything improper.

In May last year, Joel Greenberg, a longtime friend of Gaetz’s, the so-called “Wing Man” of Gaetz, and a former county tax commissioner, entered a guilty plea to six counts, acknowledging that he had purposefully sought out and paid a juvenile for intercourse.

However, given his continued cooperation with law enforcement after entering a guilty plea last year, the former Florida official whose misdeeds in the state caught US Representative Matt Gaetz in a federal sex trafficking probe has been given another extension of punishment.

According to CNN, Greenberg has informed the Justice Department that Gaetz and he had interactions with women who were given money or gifts in exchange for prostitution.

Legal insiders with knowledge of the matter claim that Gaetz is in for three separate offenses: sex trafficking with a minor; breaking the Mann Act, which forbids transporting prostitutes over state boundaries; and obstructing justice.

But Gaetz has repeatedly rejected all allegations, claiming he never paid and engaged in intercourse with a minor.

He exceeded the speed limit by 13 miles per hour, and the police observed him visibly inebriated. Gaetz initially denied drinking, but he subsequently acknowledged having two drinks.

He rejected doing the field sobriety tests after failing the eye test twice. Gaetz declined to undergo a breathalyzer test after being detained. Shortly afterward, his accusations were dropped, and the state attorney retrieved his driving license.
