WR Devin Duvernay Parents Henry Duvernay And Rozena Duvernay

Devin Duvernay was born to his parents Henry and Rozena Duvernay, on September 1997 in Sachse city of Texas.

Both still live there while their boys have relocated to several places according to their teams and what is best for them. 

From the moment they were both still within their mother’s womb, Devin and his twin Donovan had to compete with one another to be the first to enter the world.

Henry Duvernay Role As a Father

Henry gave them an edge by taking advantage of it. Today both are American football stars. He sensed athletics DNA in both of them.

“They were pretty competitive from age 1,” Henry added. “I used to make them crawl and race.” He set them up on the carpet as infants for crawling competitions.

Devin’s dad, since coming from an athletics background, had a ground knowledge of how to train and get them interested in sports. Henry is a former track coach, so he gave everything to flesh out his kids’ athletic gifts.

Since kindergarten, Henry has been grooming his little boys in football. He has trained them throughout their youth to get the best out of them.

When they were five, the twins began playing flag football in the Garland PeeWee Football League and running track in the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation. Henry would always be present to see them and help them on the field. 

Devin played college football at Texas and was drafted by the Ravens in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft because he developed into one of the most dynamic and driven wide receivers in the 2020 NFL Draft class.

Rozena works as an office management staff at Jordan & Skala Engineers based in Norcross, Georgia.

According to her Linkedin profile, Rozena (also Zena) has been working in the company for a while. Her tasks include managing staff, conforming meetings and arrangements, directing correspondence, and systematizing paperwork. 

Zena is also responsible for ensuring that the office runs smoothly and effectively and plays a role in budgeting, planning, and other administrative tasks. 

She has mastered effective office management, which includes strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to multitask, prioritize assignments, and work well with others.

Seeing how successful Devin is today, Zena, as a mum, is euphoric. “I don’t think there are words to describe how proud I am.”, she said when Devin, the Baltimore Ravens recruited him in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Devin was born into a star-studded football family with a long history of producing standout athletes.

His dad and other household members have dabbled in sports and taken a similar path to become professional athletes. His mommy, Zena, has four brothers who have already carved their names in their respective games. 

Uncle Calvin Murray was an exceptional baseball player at Texas. Similarly, another uncle Kevin Murray is a former all-conference quarterback for Texas A&M who also had a brief spell at the San Francisco 49ers.

The other two maternal uncles, Vince and Charles Murray played a defensive back and wide receiver for Tulsa and North Texas, respectively. His cousin Kyler Murray, son of Kevin, is a real deal and worthy of his stature.

Despite growing up in the same town, they were not so close and did not spend a lot of time playing together. However, Kyler, another young guy relative to the Duvernays, was making a name for himself in Dallas.

Devin is pretty happy for him and what he has achieved in his career. He said, “It was always fun watching Kyler because he was the same way, super competitive, hated to lose, and wanted to win everything.”

Kyler is currently a quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals in NFL. He played college football at the University of Oklahoma and won the Heisman Trophy in 2018. He was selected first overall by the Cardinals in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Cousin Murray has had a successful start to his NFL career, being named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2019 and leading the Cardinals to the playoffs in 2020.
