Warren Steed Jeffs was born on December 3, 1955, to Rulon and Merilyn Jeffs (1909–2002). (born circa 1935). Warren was born in Sacramento, California, more than two months early.
He grew up outside of Salt Lake City, Utah, and worked as the principal of Alta Academy, an FLDS private school at the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon, for more than two decades.
Jeffs took over as principal in 1976, when he was 21 years old. “A stickler for detail,” he was known for.
In 1986, Rulon Jeffs was elected President of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS Church), and he was survived by nineteen or twenty wives and approximately 60 children at the time of his death.

Marilyn Steed’s been described as a “political monster” with Rulon “wrapped around her little finger.” Her position in the FLDS hierarchy is safe because she is the wife of prophet Rulon Jeffs and the mother of prophet Warren Jeffs.

Steed gave birth to Warren, Rulon and Steed’s second son, prematurely on December 3, 1955, in San Francisco. He quickly became her favorite kid, and she backed him up in his endeavors.
Following his father’s death, Warren would eventually take over the FLDS. Steed came to visit him in prison after he was apprehended after a long FBI manhunt. Her first court appearance was in July 2007, and she also attended Warren’s trial.
Steed became the sister-wife of Rebecca Musser, another of Rulon’s wives, after marrying him.

FLDS Warren Jeffs’s Story: More About His Wives & Children
Warren Steed Jeffs is said to have 87 wives, according to former church members.
Some of Warren Jeffs’s wives were thrilled when he was sentenced to life in jail plus 20 years in 2011 for raping youngsters, but others stood behind him to support him.
After his imprisonment, his 65th wife, Brielle Decker, who had fled after being forced to marry him at the age of 18, was given the keys to his 3-acre property in Colorado City, Arizona. She then went on to establish The Dream Center, a global non-profit sanctuary organization.
Rachel Jeffs, Becky Jeffs, and Roy Jeffs are his children.
In 2006, their father, Jeffs, was placed on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted List for allegedly arranging unlawful weddings in Utah between his adult male followers and minor females.

Warren Jeffs was a self-styled prophet who led a polygamous cult with 78 wives, but he was embroiled in a sex scandal after it was uncovered he was grooming children as young as five, including his own daughter Rachel.
Rachel, his own daughter, was not safe. She came out after leaving the cult to reveal how her sick father had mistreated her since she was eight years old, forcing her to watch pornography.
