Drew Gulak Brother Rory Gulak Started Wrestling Career From Chikara Wrestle Factory

Drew Gulak brother Rory Gulak is an Indy professional wrestler also called Rory Mondo. Rory is also a part of The Amazing Gulaks.

Rory Gulak works with independent wrestling promotions and also as a wrestling trainer. His interest in wrestling comes from his childhood.

As they say, morning shows the day, Gulaks were hardcore fans of  WWE’s Monday Night Raw and would watch it religiously together, bonding over their love for the sport.

After being invited by Drew’s biology teacher to watch their first live match, the boys attended the shows regularly and earned the title ‘superfans’ as kids. Drew has been nicknamed the ‘Philadelphia stretcher’ and is a WWE cruiserweight champion.

Drew Gulak brother Rory Gulak started his career at Chikara after religiously attending matches.

Chikara is an American Indy wrestling promotion from Philadelphia. Rory was trained by the famous Mike Quackenbush at Chikara. He worked as a singles wrestler and a trainer there.

Rory and Drew’s first match was held at CZW’s Summer School. This was where he was introduced as the Little Mondo, the name he chose as a tribute to his idol Sick Nick Mondo. Although hesitant initially, Rory did not hold back from throwing a chair at senior Gulak in their debut match. 

It was in 2011 he had his first match for CZW. In the same year, he also traveled to Japan for Big Japan Pro wrestling for Tag League. Drew would again return to Japan for the same league. 

From fans to the idol,  Drew signed a contract with WWE in 2015. Rory also hopes to follow Drew and join WWE one day. Talking to Jewish Exponent, he praised his older sibling when Drew won WWE Cruiserweight. He exclaimed that Drew was not just a champion but a deserving champion. 

Even though his famed sibling is a WWE champion, he says he will have to earn the spot, and he cannot simply walk into the door. In a bout against Nick Gage, the young Gulak joined Drew, from whom they were known as the Amazing Gulaks.

Rory has also worked as a trainer and famously trained Penelope Ford, aka Olivia Hasier.

Rory Gulak Wrestling Career in Highschool And College

Rory began his career while in high school and there he assumed the role of team captain for four years.

During his time at Northeast High School, Rory learned that wrestling is not what it appears on the silver screen; it can be much more brutal.

During high school, between 2007 and 2008, Rory participated in 11 matches out of 3, which he won. He would later return as a head coach and assumed this position for two years, from 2015-2017.

Rory Gulak appeared on WWE live in 2019.

Four years as a captain in his high school team toughened him; back then, he realized that ring isn’t a mattress or trampoline but a plywood metal beam.
Gulak’s alma mater is Temple University, with a BA in Criminal Justice.

There he helped establish the Temple wrestling team, and he also served as the vice president of the team.
