After that, the killers fled. Gonzalez recognized the attackers as two men and a white woman. She identified Bush as the assassin who killed her children and her husband.
Bush’s leg was treated by MAD member Chuck Stonex the day after the killings. Stonex later appeared as a witness for the prosecution during the trial.
What Happened In Arizona Shooting?
Shawna Forde and her accomplices entered the Flores residence on the pretense that they were law enforcement officers hunting for fugitives.
The suspects anticipated discovering cash and narcotics that might be used to pay for Forde’s Minutemen American Defense (MAD), a vigilante nativist organization that patrolled Arizona’s border with Mexico.
When they didn’t find any narcotics, the invaders seized some cheap jewelry and shot Raul Flores Jr., 29, and his daughter, Brisenia Ylianna Flores, nine, to death.

Brisenia’s mother, Gina Marie Gonzalez, the 31-year-old wife of Raul Flores, was in the house at the time of the incident and was shot three times.
She feigned to be dead yet still lived. Gonzalez dialed 9-1-1 and equipped herself with her husband’s revolver when the intruders fled the house.
