Who Is Greg Jacob? Mike Pence Attorney Is Set To Testify Regarding Trump's Electoral College Votes Rejection

Greg Jacob Lawyer served as then-Vice President Mike Pence's general attorney. He is the latest member of Pence's staff to testify before a House select committee probing the Capitol incident on January 6. On Tuesday, he was seen exiting the chamber where the committee is interviewing witnesses for its probe.

Jacob spoke at length before the House's Capitol riot investigators in February, helping Pence fight off efforts by Trump attorney John Eastman. 

Jacob has discussed working closely with Pence before the inauguration of a new president every four years on Jan. 6, 2021, to iron out the historical function of vice presidents in presiding over the tallying of the Electoral College ballots. Since 1887, an obscure statute known as the Electoral Count Act has overseen the procedure.

Greg Jacob is well-recognized as a partner at "O'Melveny and Myers LLP. His Wikipedia stated that he was formerly general counsel to Vice President Mike Pence.
