How Did Lalo Salamanca Die? Fake Death News Or Fact About The Better Call Saul Character

Lalo’s death in Better Call Saul is most unexpected because it occurs so quickly. Since Better Call Saul season 6 is the final one, this is the big villain’s defeat and a major event that would be appropriate for the show’s conclusion.

But then again, Better Call Saul rarely disappoints its audience, and killing off Lalo in the midseason 6 debut is a way to maintain that shock element and raise the stakes even higher.

After all, if everyone thinks Lalo will pass away, why not do it right away and truly shake off any limitations that might come with storytelling? Given the close closeness of the characters following Lalo’s arrival in Jimmy’s room, carrying that conflict to the conclusion may have been too much of a stretch.

Lalo was very much on a collision course with Gus one way or another. Lalo’s passing does exactly that since writers Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould love to keep viewers on their toes.

However, the death of Lalo in Better Call Saul goes well beyond the mere shock factor and instead creates the possibility of an even more strange conclusion.

Lalo was never in Breaking Bad, so killing him now can better explore the implications of his death to bridge the gap. It might also help set up Breaking Bad and Gus’ history and rivalry with the Salamancas there.

Better Call Saul season 6 had been building to an epic clash with Lalo, as foreshadowed by everything that had happened up to that point. Lalo’s death in Better Call Saul season 6 is a significant change, especially in light of Howard’s passing.

The sixth season of Better Call Saul has been completely blown open, but there are some solutions to fill in the gap. Lalo’s passing will have consequences and bring Jimmy and Kim closer to Gus and Mike, which can be explored in the remaining episodes of Better Call Saul season 6 along with their own storylines.

He faked his own death, found the engineer who assisted Gus in creating his covert superlab, and watched Gus’s business from a sewer.

He is aware that Gus attempted to assassinate him, but before he can exact revenge, he must persuade cartel leader Don Eladio of Gus’ betrayal.

Lalo shows up at Saul and Kim’s apartment at the end of the midseason finale with his plan set to go into effect to intimidate them into killing Gus.
