Hugo Houle celebrated his victory in Stage 16 of the Tour de France while remembering his relative as he crossed the finish line far ahead of the competition.

Houle of Ottawa dedicated his historic victory to his younger brother after completing the challenging 178.5-kilometer stage through the Pyrenees from Carcassonne to Foix in four hours 23 minutes 47 seconds, 1:10 ahead of France’s Valentin Madouas and Israel-Premier Tech teammate Michael Woods of Tel Aviv.

After the 2012 season, SpiderTech-C10 folded, and Houle transferred to the French professional team Ag2r-La Mondiale. He participated in the Vuelta an Espaa once and the Giro d’Italia twice.
