Inside John Grisham Family: Wife Renee Jones and Children

After completing the course in law school and passing the bar exam in 1981, John Grisham married Renee Jones, a Southaven-born childhood friend.

The couple married on May 8 of the following year after dating for a year. The two returned to Southaven, where Grisham worked as a lawyer. Similarly, John Jones is 67 years old, and Renee Jones is 63 as of this writing. Both John Grisham’s literary career and personal life are flourishing. Ty and Shea, the family’s son and daughter, were both born. The young man plays baseball for the University of Virginia, showing that he has inherited his father’s passion for the game.

During a hilarious episode of The View that had the hosts in fits of laughter, a successful author discussed the x-rated writing process. When Joy Behar questioned him about it, Grisham said that he once wrote a “raunchy, steamy” chapter specifically for his wife, but she didn’t respond the way he had anticipated. Grisham mentioned his wife once telling an interviewer that “he knows very little about lovemaking” during the x-rated segment.

He was working on a legal thriller years ago. He said he possessed both a strong female and a strong male character. “And that was time for them to take a nap at last, “Grisham said. His wife, Renee, “always said men can’t do lovemaking,” as the daytime talk show hosts giggled and smiled. He later admitted that she mocked his attempt at writing about love, calling it “pathetic.”

He said, “So he wrote this erotic, steamy scene for her to read.” He was going to show her that he could write a steamy, almost raunchy love scene even though he wasn’t going to include it in the book. The author claimed that after giving his wife the book, she started reading it, but when she reached the “lovemaking chapter,” he didn’t exactly get the reaction he might have wanted.

He revealed, “He heard her laughing in the back of the house.” He said that when he went to find out what his wife was laughing at, she responded, “Men can’t laugh at mating.”
