Irichelle Duran is one of the six children born to the former professional boxer Roberto Duran who competed from 1968 to 2001. 

Roberto held world championships in lightweight, welterweight, light middleweight, and middleweight; he is the 2nd boxer to have competed over five decades, losing the first spot to Jack Johnson.

Furthermore, he ended his career in 2002 at age 50 with a professional record of 119 fights, 103 wins with 70 knockouts, and 16 losses; he also decided to retire in November 1980, June 1984, and August 1998 but changed his mind. However, an accident (a car crash) he had in Argentina in October 2001 made him undergo life-saving surgery, so he gave up fighting following the incident.

The boxer made her professional debut on the 4th of August 2000 and fought Geraldine Iglesias, per a source; however, she lost the match. Later on the 5th of October 2000, she won the fight against Marylin Hernandez by knockout.

Furthermore, she lost her last fight to Angie Bordelon on the 22nd of May 2002; since then, she has never made her ring appearance. However, her love for sports never faded.

Irichelle Duran Has Five Siblings

Duran is not the only child of the Panamanian legend Roberto; she has five siblings, namely Robin Durán, Dalia Durán, Giovana Durán, Víctor Durán, and Roberto Duran.

One of her brothers Alcibiade Durán, who goes by the ring name ‘Roberto Duran Jr.,’ is a pro boxer; he has won eight bouts and lost three. The fighter won his first match against Miguel Morales on the 23rd of March 2018 and lost his last fight to Jake Robinson on the 22nd of October 2022.

However, Alcibiade has no memory of his dad as he grew up with his maternal family. Similarly, Irichelle has posted pictures with her other siblings on her social media but not him.

Nonetheless, the Duran clan has settled down and has thriving careers. They are active on social media under the handles  @robinduran20@bramduran@joduran10, and @duranfulo.

Irichelle Duran Is A Proud Mother 

Duran is a proud mother; she has a son named Antonio Roberto, and he is into football, not boxing or fighting. Coming from an athletic family must have influenced him to play sports from a young age. 

Antonio is 15 years old, born on the 12th of June 2007, and he played his first match for his school in 2019. He is a resilient kid who never gives up on his passion. However, the teenager’s father’s identity has remained a mystery.

The footballer started his high school season with a fractured left-hand finger and bruises everywhere while receiving massages on the knee every hour and ice bags for the pain.

Yet he continued playing and recently played on the offensive line with his team at the AMDG Bowl 2022; the athlete is a sophomore at Belen Jesuit Preparatory School. Thus, Irichelle is a proud mom and the biggest fan of Roberto; she is a very supportive and encouraging mother who has always believed that studies and sports are the perfect combinations for raising a child.
